Mandamarri Town is situated at 180-51’ of Northern Latitude and 720-27’ of Eastern longitude. The defunct Grampanchayat Mandamarri has been constituted as Notified Area Committee Mandamarri vide G.O.Ms.No.46 M.A., dt:21-10-1993 and consequently converted as 3rd Grade Municipality in the year 1995 vide G.O.Ms.No.219 M.A., date:08-05-1995. The population of the Municipality as per 2011 census 52381, Geographical area of the Municipality 38.84 Sq.Kmts. The town is located on Broad-gauge line of Delhi to Hyderabad. The town is also situated on Hyderabad – Chanda State Highway Road with a distance of 294 Kms., from Hyderabad. The town is having 24 Nos. of Election Wards. The Municipal Council Elections could not be conducted due to the Court Stay orders, as the 1/70 act is in force in the Municipal limits. The Coal mines of Singareni Collieries are existing in around the Municipal limits.
The Municipality was framed duly merging the adjacent hamlets like Yerraguntapally, Chetlapur, R.K.-1 Subashnagar and Huts area, Village Ramakriishnapur, Narlapur & part of Chopparipally which are about 6 to 8 KM away from the town.
